Each episode, four comedians are given a random word, suggested from listeners at home, to inspire a conversation. Whether it’s true stories from their own lives or unusual opinions on even more unusual topics, this discussion is random, ridiculous and 100% real.

Our all-star improvisers then take inspiration from this conversation to inspire one-of-a-kind sketches that are entirely improvised and absolutely hilarious.

The Free Association, or The FA, is a London-based improvised comedy theatre and school. It was founded in 2015 and operates two comedy venues and training centres in London, and an online school.

Try a taster class - Online or In person

FA Taster Classes are a great way to discover improv in a fun, supportive, one-off class. This class is an optional start point for those who want to try it out before deciding whether to take part in a full course.

This class runs from 7pm - 8:30pm and will give you a great insight into what it's like to train improvisation at The Free Association. A taster class costs £20, but should you decide to join a full class - we'll deduct this from your fee! If you already know improv is for you then jump straight in with Intro to Longform!
