Tailor Your Impact

By Making Active Choices

Two people with flowing ideas, while a person struggles alone - showing the benefits of Improv training for businesses

In forward-thinking organisations, resilience, self-awareness, and ownership are essential for innovation, growth, and collaboration. However, siloed thinking, a lack of awareness about personal impact, and resistance to change can hold teams back.

Part 1: Making Active Choices

This workshop helps individuals:

✔ Embrace uncertainty and adapt to new challenges

✔ Develop self-awareness to recognise negative communication patterns

✔ Take ownership and confidence in their actions and ideas

✔ Break free from the “we’ve always done it this way” mindset

✔ Foster an environment where new ideas thrive, failure isn’t feared, and collaboration flourishes

Through interactive improv exercises, participants will practise being open to new perspectives, develop ideas collaboratively, and shift away from communication habits that hinder progress.

Part 2: Tailor Your Impact

Building on the skills developed in Part 1, this session applies them to real-world workplace interactions. Participants will experience how their communication and actions affect others, learning to adapt and make conscious, empathetic choices in the moment.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to effective interactions—what works with one person may not work with another. This workshop trains participants to read the room, adjust to different perspectives, and respond effectively in a variety of workplace situations.

Using improvised ‘Real Play’ scenarios, participants will practise their skills in situations involving conflict, leadership, feedback, creativity, and collaboration.

The Detour: Exploring the Impact of Small Changes

At the heart of this workshop is ‘The Detour’, a dynamic improv technique where the same conversation is played out multiple times—but with small, deliberate variations. Changes in tone, body language, delivery, or intent can dramatically shift the outcome of an interaction.

Participants will:

✔ Watch professional improvisers demonstrate how small adjustments lead to different outcomes

✔ Learn techniques to enhance empathy, communication, and adaptability

✔ Step into their own live improvised workplace scenarios, running their own ‘Detour’ to test different approaches

Tailor Your Impact equips individuals and teams with the tools to create a more innovative, adaptable, and connected workplace.

What We Do

Our improv workshops offer a unique, experiential approach to professional development that goes beyond traditional training methods.

The power of improv lies in its ability to make learning stick. Our ‘show - don’t tell’ style means the lessons become more than theoretical—they're felt, experienced, and remembered. This approach not only helps break down silos and build stronger connections but also encourages a growth mindset that translates directly to the workplace.

With expert facilitators guiding the way, each session is tailored to your team's specific goals, ensuring practical takeaways that can be immediately applied in everyday business interactions.
