JACUZII WITH ED JONES!
The headline show at The Free Association brings together the best improvisers from the FA for some real-life, in-front-of-your-face, laughs.
Our guest will take a one-word suggestion from the audience to inspire their ‘monologue’ - true stories, opinions, thoughts, and anecdotes from their own life. These monologues are sometimes dark, sometimes racy, usually weird and always real! Our all-star team of improvisers will then use these monologues to inspire completely improvised scenes and sketches, for a fast-paced, electric and hilarious hour of comedy. Every show is completely different, but one thing is for sure - It’s all created in the moment, before your very eyes.
Tragedy Plus Time
Tragedy Plus Time is the raucously funny improv comedy that finds laughter where others dare not tread, pulling inspiration from the most unexpected, triumphantly vulnerable aspects of life.
Get ready for something special to happen - something communal - a shared catharsis for performer and audience. Through laughter and heartbreak, this is improv like you’ve never seen it before.
A team of the country’s finest comedy improvisers weave laughter from tragedy, hilarity from tension and genuine glee from astonishing stories.
No two performances are ever the same, as the cast welcomes a different guest improviser to join the show every night. Previous guests at The Free Association include Jason Mantzoukas, Mae Martin, Phil Wang, Rose Matafeo, Andrew Hunter Murray and many more.
This ground-breaking, must-see comedy finds the funny in the most unexpected situations. As the old saying goes; nothing is certain in life, except improv and comedy.
The players in the company are SIMON LUKACS, CAROLINE AMER, DOUG CROSSLEY, FLORA ANDERSON, FREDDIE SANDILANDS, SUMINA KASUJI, RUAIRI MCINERNEY and SALLY HODGKISS.
Please Note: This production will deal with themes of grief and trauma, and may be emotionally challenging. Viewer discretion is advised.
