Words are overrated! If an audience is going to believe our characters, dialogue is just one part: they also need to see what’s interesting about them in their context. This workshop will explore object work, physicality and your environment to create more dynamic scenes, discover game and heighten relationships.
This course is available to scenework graduates and above.
Shaun Lowthian can be seen improvising with Do Not Adjust Your Stage, The Wilsons, FAPD - The Improvised Cop Show, Jacuzii and Uncle Glen’s Menagerie, and heard in character comedy podcast Fact Up. He has performed in 10 countries over a decade, having trained with the iO, UCB, Second City, The FA, Monkey Toast, and TJ & Dave. As part of twoprov The Homunculus, Shaun was nominated for a 2019 Writers’ Guild Award for their comedy short Spokke (now commissioned for a full series).
This Skill Session will take place on Sunday 8th September from 10:30AM-5:30PM (Including 1hr lunch break) and will take place at THE FA’S COMEDY ROOM.
